First Grade (Week 21)

Another short week filled with field trips and sickness!  But here is what we did fun anyways!

Practicing math facts with Learning Resources Math Mat Challenge Game  

Lego Club 

Vertebrate v/s Invertebrate using Sorting Cards from Montessori Print Shop, and animals from a variety of toobs.  We also used the Vertebrate and Invertebrate Quiz Cards to divide them into animal kingdoms.  

We read                     

 

In preparation for Ancient Greece starting next week we have started reading Book #1 of the Percy Jackson Series.  I also ordered the The Graphic Novel for C (though after ordering the paperback used, I found that it's available for Kindle for $4...darn!  If it doesn't get her soon, I may have to just but the Kindle and paperback swap the other one!)

Though if you asked him his favorite thing from this week, I think he was most excited when I let him pick one of his younger brother's boxes to do!  It's the simple things!
